We also have an established fruit, vegetable and herb plot which enables us to be as self sufficient as possible. As part of the "Flowerpots" experience, we invite our guests to sample the delights of our freshly picked produce served at the evening table for dinner.

An extract from the Complete Book of Self Sufficiency by John Seymour sums it up for us....
" Self-sufficiency does not mean "going back" to the acceptance of a lower standard of living. On the contrary, it is striving for a higher standard of living, for food which is fresh and organically-grown and good, for the good life in pleasant surroundings, for the health of body and peace of mind which come from hard varied work in the open air, and for the satisfaction that comes from doing difficult and intricate jobs well and successfully"

The garden is ever changing, season to season, year to year.
Every aspect of the garden is different so whenever you come there is something interesting to look at.

Parking for our Guests
We have a large gravelled driveway which provides a courtyard to the front and to the side of the house, and leads to the covered gate to the back garden. We are able to offer our guests private parking with lighting for up to 5 cars.
The driveway has also doubled as the ideal place for a game of boules in the summer!

New! promotion for our 2011/2012 Season

We are delighted to extend our welcome to those of you with camping cars who wish to have a stopover at "Flowerpots" en route to exploring France. "Flowerpots" has enough parking area to allow our camping car guests to park next to the old boulangerie in the garden, where there is a water and electricity supply available.
Enjoy a stopover with views of the garden and surrounding countryside and join us for breakfast in the morning.
We are restricted in the size of the camping cars that we are able to take, as we have a driveway to our house which is limited in width. To give you an idea of the dimensions the camping car in the picture is a HYMER and is 2.3 metres in width, and 5.5 metres in length.
