"Bienvenue" to "Flowerpots" our lovingly restored stone farmhouse, offering traditional Bed and Breakfast, Chambre d'Hôtes accommodation. We can be found in the hamlet of L'Oraille, Le Mesnil Garnier, set in the heart of the picturesque Normandy countryside. Believed to have been built in 1735, and our renovation project spanning over 10 years, we are delighted to offer a special kind of bed and breakfast experience for up to 7 guests. We have 3 double bedrooms which have been carefully furnished to ensure that your stay with us is comfortable, and memorable as possible.
Chambre aux Fleurs and Chambre aux Papillons are in the Main House and are ideal for friends or families with children. An old fashioned arched door from the Dining Room leads you to the romantic retreat of The Barn Suite which has proved popular with couples.
Since opening, we have been fortunate to welcome guests from all continents, and have enjoyed the return visits of those guests whom we now regard as friends.
Open all year round, we are available for holidays, as a base for those weekend breaks, or simply as a stopover point as you continue to explore Normandy. We are also able to offer our guests the benefit of some ferry discounts to help with the pennies!

New this season is a regular update on "whats on" in our area, from fairs (foires), brocantes and vide greniers. 2012-2013 publicity is free and available for all our guests in a handy sized guide and includes all the famous attractions that Normandy has to offer.
Our rural retreat is ideally placed, as we are just 7 kilometres from the famous copper town of Villedieu les Poêles, and within easy access to the quiet west coast of the Normandy peninsula and the Normandy Landing Beaches of the north and east coasts.
Half an hours drive will take you to the imposing town of Avranches with its views of the enigmatic Mont St. Michel. 20 minutes from us is the historic town of Coutances with its imposing Cathedral with twin spires and superb shopping. Slightly further afield, and towards Caen is Bayeux, with its historic Tapestry...a must for any visitor to this area!
History and heritage sit side by side in this idyllic part of France.
